Hill of Uisneach, Rathnew, Loughnavalley.

About the day:

Following on from the success of our Spring Equinox to Bealtaine meditation tour, I am delighted to announce the Litha to Lughnasadh Tour and Meditation day. As we move from the Litha season toward the gifts of Lughnasadh, come join me for a tranquil and restorative morning of meditation on the Hill of Uisneach, long considered the centre of the universe by tribes across the globe. Our meditation will be followed by a walking tour of the ancient and sacred site by local archaeologist and folklore storyteller.

Practices will include an opening relaxation meditation in a Tibetan Yurt and a celtic healing circle at the lake of Lugh.

About Uisneach:

Uisneach is long considered the centre of the universe by tribes across the globe. Located in Westmeath this famous hill is the midpoint of the 5 ancient provinces and four ancient roads of Ireland, North, South, East and West. The Hill commands a view of all of Ireland and on a clear day you can see from the Burren in Co. Clare to Slieve Beagh in Co. Tyrone. Ireland got her name from this hill after Eiru the Goddess Mother Nature. The Sun God Lugh and Éiru Mother Nature are buried here.

What to bring:

You are advised to bring a packed lunch, a rain jacket and wear good walking boots for the outdoor sessions. Otherwise dress in loose clothing, so you’re nice and comfy when indoors meditating.

Structure of the Day:

9.30 am: Meet and greet. Tea, coffees and biscuits on arrival.
10:00 am: Meditations.
12:00 pm: Lunch.
1pm: Private tour of this important world renowned sacred site.
3pm: End.
